Natlan Shrine of Depths: My 2026 Route to All Eight Seals
Find all 8 Natlan Shrine of Depths locations in Genshin Impact, plus Shrine of Depths Keys, with this fast 5.5 route.
I went back into Natlan this week with one job: clean up every Shrine of Depths seal I had left behind. The Nation of War is not a straight-line map, and its shrines are tucked into cliffs, shorelines, and volcanic slopes that punish lazy navigation. According to the latest 5.5 map state in my notes, Natlan currently hosts eight Shrine of Depths, not the full ten that every region eventually receives. Two slots are still reserved for a future Natlan expansion, so I am treating this as a complete route for the eight that can be opened now, not a finished ten-shrine checklist.

The payoff is familiar but still worth the trip: each seal opens into a Luxurious Chest, and Natlan’s shrine chests can contain a Sunset-Blue Obsidian Fragment. If you are hunting obsidian rings or just cleaning up exploration percentage, these eight stops are high-value.
What changed by 5.5, and why older routes stop at six
Version 5.0 launched Natlan with four shrines. Version 5.2 added two more. Version 5.5 added the final two currently available, both in Atocpan. I verified that sequence against my route notes because it explains a lot of confusion: older videos stop at six, newer maps show eight, and a few checklists still say Natlan has only four. In 2026, the eight-shrine state is the one I use, and I still flag the last two slots as expansion-dependent.
My key checklist
Shrine of Depths Keys are usually the bottleneck. I do not treat the shrine route as a key-farming route. I check the statue and offering levels first, then I run the seals. If a seal will not open, I stop and audit these milestones instead of retracing the whole cliff.
| Reward source | Key milestone | What I do |
|---|---|---|
| Natlan Statue of the Seven | Level 2 | Claim it before starting; easy first key. |
| Natlan Statue of the Seven | Level 4 | Check after early exploration. |
| Natlan Statue of the Seven | Level 6 | Often the one I forget. |
| Tona’s Flame’s Restitution | Level 8 | Pyro Sigil Offering progress matters. |
| Tona’s Flame’s Restitution | Level 18 | Mid-cycle key check. |
| Tona’s Flame’s Restitution | Level 28 | Late-cycle key check. |
I strongly recommend checking these before a route. A missing key usually means a statue or offering level has not been claimed, not that the shrine is bugged.
All eight routes, in the order I run them
| # | Landmark | Route I use | My warning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Huitztli Hill southwestern Waypoint | Teleport to the southwestern waypoint, not the underground one, then walk south. | If you land underground, climb out first. |
| 2 | Waypoint next to Sulfurous Veins | Warp to the waypoint by the label, then go south. | Pair this with #1; they are close. |
| 3 | Talent material domain | Start at the domain and go northeast up the cliff. | Stamina food helps. |
| 4 | People of the Springs | Use the Statue of the Seven then walk southwest, or use the southern waypoint and go north across the water. | The water crossing can eat stamina. |
| 5 | Flower-Feather Clan / Ochkanatlan shore | Warp north of Flower-Feather Clan, indwell a Qucusaurus, fly north; or use Ochkanatlan’s Statue and head east. | The shrine sits down by the shore. |
| 6 | Western shore of Ochkanatlan | Warp to the western shore waypoint and go southwest past the Tenebrous Mimiflora Ruin Guards. | Do not let the Ruin Guards drag you off route. |
| 7 | Remnants of Tetenanco | Fast-travel to the waypoint southwest of the Remnants and head west; climb the hill. | The climb is the real gate. |
| 8 | Atocpan | From the waypoint northwest of Atocpan, travel west toward the sea. | Eruptions can damage you; keep moving. |

I pair the first two seals. Huitztli Hill and Sulfurous Veins are close enough that running between them feels like one stop, and the southwestern waypoint must be the surface one. I made the mistake of taking the underground point once; I spent more time climbing out than walking the actual route.
Shrine three is a cliff check. The talent domain is the clean anchor, but the northeast climb is where I burn stamina. I bring a movement character or eat stamina food, then glide down after the chest.

Shrine four has two approaches. I prefer the People of the Springs Statue of the Seven and a southwest walk because it is easier to read. The southern waypoint route is fine too, but crossing the water without stamina management is annoying.

Shrines five and six are an Ochkanatlan pair. For five, I indwell a Qucusaurus north of Flower-Feather Clan and fly north; the Ochkanatlan Statue east route also works. The seal is down by the shore. For six, I warp to the western shore waypoint and go southwest past the Tenebrous Mimiflora Ruin Guards. I do not fight every guard; I keep the shrine in view and move.

Atocpan is the 5.5 test. The volcanic island erupts and can damage you, so I use characters that facilitate exploration, keep healing ready, and avoid long fights. For seven, I fast-travel southwest of Remnants of Tetenanco, head west, and climb the hill. For eight, I start at the waypoint northwest of Atocpan and travel west toward the sea. The sea-facing route is short but easy to overshoot if you hug the cliff.

My practical loadout
-
🏃 A movement character for cliff climbs and water crossings.
-
🍜 Stamina food for shrine three and the People of the Springs water route.
-
🛡️ A shield or healer for Atocpan’s eruptions and Ruin Guard pockets.
-
🦖 Qucusaurus access for shrine five; it is the cleanest Ochkanatlan approach.
-
🧠 Discipline: I do not chase every enemy. The chest is the objective.
The two missing shrines
Natlan still has two shrine slots left for the full ten. I would not panic if your map shows eight. The 5.5 update completed the current set, and future Natlan expansion is the likely home for the last two. My 2026 advice is simple: open the eight now, bank the Luxurious Chests and obsidian fragments, and keep a note on which statue and offering levels you have claimed. When the next expansion lands, the key audit will be faster than a full re-explore.
Details are provided by Giant Bomb, a long-running games reference known for structured game data and editorial coverage, and that kind of catalog-style perspective fits a Shrine of Depths checklist well because players tracking Natlan progression often need clear distinctions between version-added locations, exploration rewards, and route efficiency rather than a simple region overview.
