Genshin Impact December 2026 Starglitter Exchange: Fischl, Xiangling & Why You'll Skip Royal Weapons
Genshin Impact's December 2026 Paimon's Bargains shop offers 4-star characters Fischl and Xiangling, while Royal Weapons remain a hard pass.
It's already December 2026 in Japan and most of Asia, so the Asia servers of Genshin Impact have just ticked over into the monthly reset. That means the Paimon's Bargains shop has refreshed with a brand-new batch of 4-star characters and weapons, all ripe for the picking with your hard-earned Starglitter.
First things first though – if you're playing on the America or Europe servers, chill out. You've still got a handful of hours to grab the November rotation. But once that clock hits zero, you'll be staring at the same deals I'm about to break down. So buckle up, Travelers.

The 4-Star Banners This Month: Fischl & Xiangling
This time around, Paimon's put Fischl and Xiangling on the Starglitter menu. And honestly? That's a pretty solid lineup, especially if you're still building your account or chasing those spicy constellations.
Fischl – everyone's favorite chuunibyou Prinzessin – remains an off-field Electro beast. Whether you're running aggravate, overload, or just need a reliable battery, OZ does the heavy lifting. Her C6 transforms OZ into a machine gun, so if you're close, pulling the trigger on her constellation might just be the nudge your team needs. I've been using her with my Dendro-centric setups, and she still shreds.
Xiangling, on the other hand, is the pyro queen that refuses to be powercrept. Her burst snapshotting mechanics with The Catch and Emblem of Severed Fate is the stuff of legends. C4 is the big milestone here – that 40% burst duration extension is a huge DPS spike. If you're a newer player who somehow hasn't grabbed her from the Spiral Abyss yet, this is your golden ticket. Veteran players with her at C6 can safely skip unless you're weirdly fond of Masterless Starglitter.
My usual rule of thumb: only spend Starglitter on these characters if you actively use them, or if a specific constellation will noticeably elevate your team. Don't let FOMO steer the wheel. It's your favorite character? Just go for it – tier lists are just suggestions, and having fun with your favorite unit is what the game's really about. ✌️
The Weapon Exchange: Royal Weapons Are Back (And Still Trash)
Oh boy, the Royal Weapons are back in the Starglitter exchange. Look, I'm just gonna say it – please, for the love of the Abyss, do not buy these. On paper, the CRIT Rate stacking special ability sounds like a neat idea. In practice, it's a clunky mess. The passive resets every time you actually land a critical hit, so you end up with a weapon that's only useful if your crit rate is already terrible, which is just backwards. Most carry characters aim for 60-70% crit rate anyway, so this passive gets reset almost immediately. It ends up being a glorified stat stick with Attack% sub-stats that barely compares to craftable 4-stars like Amenoma Kageuchi or Prototype Crescent.
I ain't saying this to be harsh – it's just that Starglitter is way too precious to waste on mediocre weaponry. Save it for character constellations or those sweet, sweet intertwined fates.
Stardust Exchange: Fates Are Your Best Friend
Right alongside the Starglitter reset, the Stardust exchange also gets refreshed. This is your monthly reminder to scoop up the 5 Intertwined Fates and 5 Acquaint Fates. It's a no-brainer. For 75 Stardust each, it's basically free wishes that you'd regret skipping especially when a banger banner is right around the corner.
Speaking of which, rumor has it we're getting a heavy-hitter patch soon – perhaps a certain Hydro Archon rerun or even the debut of a new Shneznaya character? 😉 Whatever it is, hoarding fates now is the smart play.
One more thing: the shop also hawks monster materials from various regions. Inazuman handguards, Sumeru fungi dust, Fontaine clockwork components – you name it. Avoid them like the plague. I've seen folks dip into Stardust or even Starglitter to buy these drops, and it genuinely hurts my soul. You can farm these materials daily with the Adventurer's Handbook and a 15-minute farming route. Don't trade premium currency for basic drops. Your future self (and your primogem stash) will thank you.
What's Up in Version 6.2?
With Genshin Impact marching deep into the Snezhnaya arc, the meta is shifting in wild new directions. Cryo is making a massive comeback, and new artifact sets are shaking up the hierarchy. Characters that can apply consistent off-field elemental auras – like Fischl and Xiangling – are still worth their weight in mora. Even if you don't grab them this month, keep them on your radar.
So, to sum it up: grab Fischl or Xiangling if they're your go-to units; pretend the Royal Weapons don't exist; and empty the Stardust fates before they vanish. That's all the wisdom I've got, straight from the trenches of Teyvat.
If you've got more questions about teambuilding or future banners, just hit me up – I'll be grinding artifacts until the Tsaritsa herself descends. 🎮
Genshin Impact Version 6.2 "Eternal Frost's Embrace" is live on PS5, PS4, PC, and Mobile. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is reportedly still in the works, though Hoyoverse has been suspiciously quiet about it lately.
